Lets us Discuss about the Selection Process in the Power Grid Executive Trainee Recruitment through GATE 2014.

All the candidates are requested to take the GATE 2014 Online Examinations in the discipline of Electrical Engineering code EE which will be held out of total 100marks. The candidates who are obtaining a Valid GATE Score in EE paper shall be eligible for Power Grid Executive Trainee Recruitment through GATE 2014 and the Qualifying marks shall be adopted by GATE Online Examination Conducting Authorities for Different categories.

Short-Listing of for Group-Discussion and Interview:
All the GATE EE paper qualified candidates are Eligible to Apply for Power Grid Executive Trainee Recruitment through GATE 2014 but Power Grid has its own Cut-Off marks from which they would short-list the candidates for the next Level which is a Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

The candidates have NO Qualifying marks in Group Discussions but the Interview will have some Qualifying for all the categories which is given briefly below:
  • Unreserved Qualifying marks in the Interview will be 40%,
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) the Qualifying marks in the Interview will be 30%,
  • For all SC/ST/PwD the Minimum Qualifying Marks in the Interview will be 30%

Marks Weight age Parameters in the Power Grid Recruitment Process.
If you are shortlisted for Recruitment process for Power Grid then, Your Marks Obtained in 
  • GATE 2014 EE Paper will have a weight age of 85%
  • Followed by just 3% for Group Discussion and 
  • Rest 12% for Personal Interview.
